The role of the coach...

 The coach plays a pivotal role in facilitating development and growth by: 

  • Encouraging self-discovery and helping the client gain insight into their values, strengths and development needs. 
  • Collaborating with the client to define clear, tangible, and achievable goals. 
  • Eliciting client generated solutions and strategies. 
  • Providing feedback, guidance, observations, and insights. 
  • Holding the client accountable for their commitments and progress. 
  • Tailoring coaching techniques and strategies to meet the individual needs of the client.  

The role of the client...

 The client plays a crucial role in driving the process to maximise the benefits of coaching by: 

  • Actively participating in coaching sessions, being open to feedback, sharing experiences, and engaging in the coaching process. 
  • Committing to change and being willing to try new strategies outside of the coaching sessions. 
  • Reinforcing learning by reflecting on insights gained during coaching. 
  • Communicating openly about needs, challenges, and progress to ensure the coaching remains relevant and effective. 
  • Holding themselves accountable for their actions and progress.
